Our Certification Standards
As a general guideline, natural gemstones valued at over £100 are supplied with an independent gemological certificate.
Most of these certificates are issued by reputable gemological laboratories in Sri Lanka, operated by qualified gemologists, including GIA Alumni, and feature QR code verification for easy online authentication.
Each certificate typically confirms key information such as:
- Gemstone species and variety
- Natural origin (where determinable)
- Weight (carats)
- Shape and cut
- Measurements
- Treatment disclosures (if detected)
- Unique certificate number
Internationally Recognised Laboratories
Some of our gemstones are certified by internationally recognised laboratories, including:
- Gemological Institute of America (GIA)
- Reputable independent gemological laboratories in the United Kingdom
- Other internationally respected gem testing laboratories, where appropriate

If you require certification from a particular gemological laboratory, we are happy to assist.
Upon purchase, we can arrange certification through recognised laboratories, including those requested by the customer, subject to laboratory availability and the type of gemstone.

- Certification fees are charged separately unless otherwise agreed.
- Additional processing time may be required while the gemstone is being examined.
- Shipping times may be extended depending on the selected laboratory.
