As a company with deep roots in Sri Lanka’s gemstone industry, we are proud to source many of our gemstones directly from our own mining operations and trusted local partners.
Mining Operations
Aira Gems operates gemstone mining projects in three of Sri Lanka’s renowned gem-producing regions:
- Ratnapura – The world-famous “City of Gems”
- Bakamuna – Known for its rich alluvial gemstone deposits
- Ambilipitiya – A historic region with a long tradition of responsible gemstone mining
Our operations are conducted in accordance with applicable Sri Lankan laws and regulations, helping to ensure that our gemstones are sourced responsibly and transparently.

We are a registered gemstone mining company under National Gem and Jewelry Authority Sri Lanka and are committed to operating responsibly.
Our mining activities are carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities and follow regulations designed to protect workers, surrounding communities, and the natural environment.
